New FileFire 2.0.16 compatible with FileMaker 13-17

FileFire 2.0.16 update released

Dacons announces the release of the FileMaker® plug-in FileFire 2.0.16.

This version of FileFire has the following improvements:

  • Extended support for FileMaker versions from 13 to 17, in the previous version FileFire 2 was compatible only with FileMaker 16-17 Changes were made for the version of the plug-in for Mac OS and Windows OS.

  • Fixed: The coordinates of the DropZones were incorrectly determined when scrolling the layout on the Windows platform.. This has been addressed.

This update is free for all owners of FileFire 2 licenses.

FileFire comes with 11 starter solutions that give you head start in implementing FileFire into your own FileMaker® 13-17 solution with ease.

Create, copy, move, delete, archive files and folders, mount and unmount disks, create thumbnails, link and open files or drop files into FileMaker®. The FileFire features include:

- Supports FileMaker 17 including 64 bit.

- Define drop zones to define drop targets in your FileMaker solutions. Drop zones can be bound to a window/layout. You can also define multiple drop zones per layout. Responsive design drop zones are possible on macOS.

- ZipList: Archive a list of files.

- Get meta data of files such as header data of pictures.

- Create thumbnails of files such as pictures to be shown in FileMaker.

- ExecuteShell: Execute shell commands to accomplish advanced operating system tasks from within FileMaker.

FileFire 2 comes with a set of open source starter solutions. Also the technical upgrade from previous versions to FileFire 2 is easy. Developer only need to touch scripts if they plan to use the new features. All existing functions work as before.
